Ladybower In The Clouds
One of my very favourite landscape photographs I've taken in the Peak District.
Such a beautiful moody scene created with an inversion going on down the Hope valley. I was torn where to go on route as its so special to watch these conditions from Winnats Pass not too far from this location, but for some reason I decided to head to Ladybower and was treated to one of the most dramatic yet calm shoots I've ever done.
Shot with a touch of long exposure, the low cloud and inversion defused the sun to help create a balance throughout the image and leading lines from the iconic sink holes and dam wall taking the eye through the image up to Bamford Edge.
A3 Print on 300g Ultra Pearlescent Photography Paper and embossed in the bottom left corner.
