Macro Series.

Sitting somewhere between my landscape photography and paintings are my Macro Series Giclee prints.

For over 11 years now I have been exploring my oil paintings with my own unique macro photography techniques. Designing various rigs I can explore the surface of my oil paintings at various stages of completion, finding compositions and interests in the fine details which I can then blow up to make large prints on archival papers.

I use lots of techniques in my approach to landscape photography to capture these works. From how I search and look to find interesting things, to compositions and even post production methods.

This series has really influenced my landscape photography in return and I now find myself looking at the landscape in a very different way. Its this love of combining mediums, equipment, knowledge which led me to wanting to capture my Artist Walk films you can see in the projects page.
